Quails Retreat

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at Quails Retreat. It very well fit our group of 12 which included four active kids under age 8. The quiet mountainside privacy was very welcome especially compared to the traffic, noise and busyness of Gatlinburg. The game room was a fun area for all but especially great to segregate the kids at times. We looked forward to the outdoor fire pit but all the chairs in that area were literally black with dirt and tree debris. My wife had to bring out a bucket of soapy water to scrub down the table and we had to place towels on the chairs to sit. A major pressure washing is needed. Which brings me to the overall condition of the place - if you're expecting new and pristine this ain't it. Well worn and comfortable better describes it. Cathy would be well served to invest a couple weeks of her $2000 weekly rent into some upgrades - kitchen chairs so wobbly you think they'll collapse - a couple living room chairs that have so little support you think you're going to the floor (one of which I lifted up looking for a toy and found a good 2 years of crumbs and dust underneath). The 3 bathrooms were great to have and we enjoyed the front porch. We'd stay again.

The cabin was upgraded then we got lost Cathy too the rescue, she stayed on the phone until we found the right driveway.. She recommended a local pizza spot which was convenient since we didn’t want to get lost again.. The cabin was beautiful the views were stunning, we goneon plenty of vacation and this one was my favorite by far.. Also we seen some wildlife plz understand when you stay you won’t wanna be a tourist because the cabin is such a magical spot!!

This cabin was great. Cathy thinks of all the extras to keep things stress free like coffee, creamer, beach towels, hand soap, laundry soap. There was even snack cakes in the kitchen. We had an excellent stay and everything was clean. The cleaning person was very good. We did see a bear roaming around and that was exciting. Only 15 mins from town and easy parking area for at least 5 cars. You can't go wrong at one of Cathy's homes. The hot tub was a big plus. Cathy is easy to message with any questions. Wifi works good and so does tv. Remember to bring a citronella candle for outside. The bed we had was so comfy. Can't say to much good about our vacation in this
home. We all loved it. My kids n grandkids are asking to go back again.

The house was a great fit for our large group. The house has a charm that makes you feels like you’re right at home. It felt spacious and has nice features to keep everyone entertained. The pool was a hit for our group. About a 20 minute drive to Pigeon Forge, but we enjoyed being far enough out from the craziness, crickets and birds! We had a little issue, but Cathy quickly responded and corrected. I highly recommend booking a stay at any of their cabins. Fantastic service!

We loved everything about the cabin!!! We saw more bears this year then we have for the past two years the kids loved the game room the cabin was so clean and perfect and was so easy to get to would love to stay there again

This cabin was absolutely beautiful and it had plenty of room to accommodate our family. The hot tub was awesome

Great location, plenty of room for allof us.The highlight of my stay was the mama bear and her two cubs that hung out for atheist 20 minutes!

Cathy's cabin was just what my family needed. It was great to be away from everything to relax but also be so close to town. It forced us to relax and slow down but we were just a quick car ride away from all the fun kid stuff. So much room for all family, we had 5 kids along and they loved having the game room. Adults loved having the hot tub. My favorite was sitting on the deck drinking coffee. Come prepared to relax!

It was an awesome place. Everything we wanted and then some. Would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

Property was great for family our size. Plenty of sleeping space and was true to description. It’s not new. But the price reflects that. However it was clean,very comfortable and has a lot of things others don’t. All 9 of us enjoyed the cabin. I’ve stayed in several cabins all over the Smokey’s and this was my favorite. In fact it’s the only I’ve ever stayed with a double carport,supplied coffee,firewood and snacks. Overall a great cabin for a large group. Not new...but better!

We had a great time, there was plenty of space for our party of 12, and everything we could have needed was in the house.

Everything you need for a much needed vacation away from home.

Beautiful cabin and setting. The road in is a gorgeous drive with lots of twists and turns. Spacious, clean, nice hot tub and pool table. There were 9 of us, capacity for 12 sleeping, so we were very comfortable. Kitchen was well furnished with dishes, cooking stuff, and appliances. Big front porch. We did everything online and email, everything went smoothly and was as promised. Recommended.

Abosolutly fabulous. The house was beautiful, stocked and very clean. We loved every minute and hope to go again soon. Everything worked perfectly and made our vacation really relaxing. Yes the driveway and drive up is steep, but your in the mountains. I hope everyone can enjoy this place as much as we did!

Very comfortable and had everything you would need, except drinking glasses (really wasn’t that big of a deal).

We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. It’s a little dated but if you and your family is looking for a clean not too far out, this cabin is for you!

We had a great time. The only thing was the power went out three times but, that couldn’t be helped. The owner went out of her way to help us. It was in the single digits very cold so the hot tub didn’t work. We loved the fireplace it kept us warm when the power was out. Another negative was the road going up there was very steep and a180 turn . Overall it we had a great Christmas 2022.
